Storage of the Piece

Ibérico Ham should be kept in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. To preserve all its qualities, leave the outer layer of the part you are not going to cut uncleaned. Finally, simply cover it with a cotton cloth to protect it from light and humidity.

Plating

To fully enjoy a good plate of Ibérico Ham, presentation is key. This involves paying attention to the slicing, temperature, and overall appearance.
The thickness and width of each slice is crucial—it should be uniform and thin, allowing it to melt in your mouth. Iberian Ham should always be in the spotlight, so it is best to use smooth, white plates that won’t take attention from it.

The ideal time to slice it is when the temperature is between 20ºC and 24ºC, as the aroma is more intense. Once you are done eating, clean any leftover bits from the plate to ensure a perfect presentation.
