Louisa Schmolke

Artist, designer, and content creator

Louisa blends art, architecture, and emotion in her visual work. Her piece 3024 was selected by the Royal Scottish Academy and exhibited in Edinburgh. During her journey to the origins of the Ibérico Sense, she discovered a new source of inspiration in the culture, tradition, and nature that make Ibérico Ham a true delicacy.

Nature

The Dehesa was a truly special environment. The light, the trees, the silence… everything seemed to follow its own harmonious rhythm.

More than just a landscape, Louisa discovered a way of life: slow, mindful, and deeply connected to the surroundings.

That bond between nature, respect, and rhythm became a powerful source of inspiration. Beneath the holm oaks, she found a new visual language — one that needs no words.

Flavour

Flavour, too, is a creative experience that engages all the senses. In the case of Ibérico Ham, it even awakens a new one: the Ibérico Sense.

This product, with its unique organoleptic qualities, is not just tasted — it’s sensed, remembered, and linked to places and moments.

Each bite speaks of texture, balance, and nuance, showing that taste can also be a path to emotion.

Time

Every artist values the time and effort devoted to their work, and that’s why Louisa understood and appreciated the special connection this product has with the long years of patience required to achieve its authenticity.

From the rearing of the Iberian pigs to the curing of the pieces, everything moves at a slow and demanding pace.

Nothing can be rushed when the goal is excellence.

“Every bite evokes a vibrant street, a passion for savoring life, a culture that is breathed in every corner, and an attitude that celebrates life. Spanish culture is full of surprises, and it inspires me.”

Sustainability

During the trip, Louisa learned firsthand that sustainability in the Iberian sector is not an abstract concept but a daily practice.

The farmers care for the land, the animals, and the tradition with great dedication and vocation.

This balance between nature and craft is essential to achieve an extraordinary result. The production of Ibérico Ham goes beyond the product itself; it is a way of life.

Art

Louisa appreciates the art of the everyday, and in Ibérico Ham she found details that surprised her.

The slicing, the shape, the color… everything has intention, as if someone were composing the scene perfectly yet naturally, without affectation. The slicing of Ibérico Ham is exquisite and natural art.

This unpretentious aesthetic became a source of inspiration for Louisa’s artwork.

Culture

Louisa immersed herself in the culture of Ibérico Ham with curiosity and great interest. She observed the perfect plating and the generous Iberian tradition of sharing the most special moments around the table.

Something that is passed on without a manual, learned by living it.
Ibérico identity is about sharing, caring for, and celebrating nature, traditions, and people.
